[ElizabethBozek] 9:13 pm: I finished the proposal survey and should be sending it out either tomorrow or Friday. It asks SEDS members to give their opinions on how they think the space industry can be improved

[ElizabethBozek] 9:15 pm: also the next council of chapters meeting will be two weeks from today

[Liz Newton] 9:29 pm: originally, it was a separate idea but that's the direction we're going now

[Liz Newton] 9:29 pm: possibly even doing this as an academy project... a certain class or classes will be devoted to working on the book
[todd romberger] 9:31 pm: cool, so its a book on general space stuff?
[Liz Newton] 9:32 pm: might end up being two books - one more history-based and one more math and theory-based
[Liz Newton] 9:32 pm: right now we're not sure which direction to take it, so we're considering both

[todd romberger] 9:33 pm: cool...maybe a good thing to do would be to have it be about the new emerging private side of space, cause there are probably not as many books already in existence about that

[Liz Newton] 9:38 pm: general space based, but for seds use
[Ryan McLinko] 9:39 pm: how about something about what the outgoing people from NASA have learned about going to the moon, etc

[Liz Newton] 9:40 pm: it's definitely something to consider

[Josh Nelson] 9:46 pm: Allright, I have so far gotten in contact with: Colorado, ERAU, Caltech, WPI, Purdue, MIT, and Elliot of our high school chapter, as these were the first people to vollentarily give me their phone numbers

[Josh Nelson] 9:46 pm: So far it is looking like 12+ from UWash, 4-5 MIT, And some from Colorado and Caltech SEDS
[Josh Nelson] 9:47 pm: No fundraising update as I havent heard from kirk over break yet
[Josh Nelson] 9:47 pm: Are any of you reps for your chapters / project directors?
[todd romberger] 9:48 pm: im the rep for UCF
[Josh Nelson] 9:48 pm: If you dont see your chapter on the above list, could you get me in contact with your projects director or similar?

[todd romberger] 10:03 pm: havent gotten any responses yet, so i'll push it some more in the coming weeks
[todd romberger] 10:04 pm: but i did hear from Michael Ciancone from the AAS, mentioning that I neglected to include the AAS conference in the list

[todd romberger] 10:05 pm: it is right after SpaceVision in November, so I am going to work with him to coordinate having AAS people at SpaceVision, and SEDS people at the AAS conference
