Meeting was at 7PM in 0020 Howe Hall. Present were Allen Ball, Ben Brockert, Tabrina Sienkiewicz, Didum Kiobel, and Amelia Hedley. Minutes taken by Ben Brockert.

Ben

  • Next general meeting is in 1213 Howe at 6 or 7:30 PM.
  • Large passenger van training is October 11th 6:30-8:30PM.
    • at Fire Service Institute next to Transportation Services.
    • Have to be 20 years old.
    • Do as a general meeting? We need drivers.
  • Need money for X Prize Cup.

Tabrina

  • Worked on fundraising.
    • Wrote letters.
    • Taking them places on Wednesday.
  • Visited launch site with Ben, all looks good.
    • Going to follow up with owners.
    • They brought up idea of doing an afterschool program at Colo, as well as other outreach stuff.
  • Reserved cross country field for AerE 160 launch.

Didum

  • Possibly add small videos to website.
  • No new member submissions on the web form.
  • Going to add photos.

Amelia

  • No updates.

Allen

  • Office cleaning party? (Postscript: Allen and Tabrina cleaned it on Wednesday.)
  • Stuff for L3 rocket supposed to come Tuesday.
    • Gives 70% chance of it actually flying at Midwest Power.
    • Going to have a build session some time this week.
    • Needs to fly his altimeter before the launch, to make sure it works.
  • Going to pay SEDS dues.

Misc discussion

  • Don't have Allen launch the liquid fueled rocket, to avoid crashing.
  • Shirts.
    • Probably go with a simple design, because no one has anything better.
    • Buy in town, because of pain of ISU certification thing.
      • Tabrina or Allen going to check prices.
    • Just buy what we have orders for, trying to make money on them rarely works.
  • There's a work session for AerE 160 at 6:00 in the basement of Howe on Wednesday.
