10/17/2005 ISSS Exec Minutes

We had our forth executive meeting today in the Howe Basement at 6:00. Here is what went on:

Money: Three more people paid their dues today nearly doubling the number of members in the club!

Aero 160 launch:

The launch is scheduled for Sunday at 1:00pm in the cross country field, and the rain date is for the following Sunday (it better not rain).
There was a big mix-up this weekend with the Aero 160 rocket building session, The class was told it was on Sunday, but it wasn't so there was a session today from 2-4 and we will hold another one on Thursday.
The field hasn't been booked for the launch yet and it's getting down to crunch time, so Allen is going to do that tomorrow and we'll hope that there are no conflicts. If there are we'll have to make the launch earlier or later to accomidate.
We looked at the advertisement for the 160 launch one more time and it is to go out this Friday.

Tripoli:

Tripoli is the weekend of the 28th. Right now there are five or six people signed up to go and they'll meet with Allen after the next meeting to work out when we're leaving.
We're going to tell the AIAA trips chair about our trip (to Tripoli and the conference trip) in hopes that a bunch of AIAA people will want to come. We'll have all who wish to come pay dues, so maybe we'll get more members.
There will be tons of night launches and "big" rocket launches throughout the weekend, as well as one P-cluster

Next meeting:

The next general meeting will be Tuesday, October 25 at 8:00 in 1227 Hoover.
We think we are going to have a representative from HABIT (High Altitude Baloon Experimentation Testing) come and give a presentation.
