      • It has a debit card which will make future large transactions much easier than past ones
    • Space Generation Congress was very successful, many students who attended are also interested in starting SEDS chapters
      • Sidenote: "On the flip side, the conference has reinforced my feelings that we should work more with SpaceGen. There's a lot of overlap of ideas, people, and energy between our two groups."
  • Expansion (Palash)
    • New Chapters (or potentials)
      • Colorado Boulder

    • Elections
      • Alex will be adding position descriptions to the elections page, so please write a blurb describing your position and skills or abilities necessary for the job. Otherwise, the description on the webpage currently will be used (it's 10+ years old).
      • These descriptions will be what the applicants will be basing their platform on, so make sure to address any potential difficulties they may encounter.
      • "write your own description, and if you feel a strong need to write someone else's as well (this is encouraged), write that too, and then I will take your paragraph and review it with the person who currently holds it."
      • Applications will be sent to seds@seds.org
    • A list will be made of things to discuss during meetings duing SpaceVision
  • Newsletter (Megha)
    • Right now the newsletter consists of 6 chapter updates and an article about SpaceVision from Kirk. This means that more is needed.
    • Alex will write a general SEDS article by Friday
    • Kirk wrote good articles about SGC for spacealumni.com and he will be asked to use those in the newsletter
    • Megha has already written an article about X-Cup
  • Chapter Affairs (Megha)
    • No big updates, just reinforced the need to spread the word about SpaceVision at the last Council of Chapters
    • Might not have a Council of Chapters tomorrow due to lack of necessity
  • Special Projects (Josh Nelson)
    • No schools submitted applications for MDRS, only two submitted letters of intent
    • Working on a structure for the National Projects workshop at SpaceVision

3. New Business

  • DoSpace (Todd)
    • A new outreach campaign was developed at SGC called "DoSpace" which Todd and Daphne are in charge of.
      • The idea is to give inspiring presentations to students, and then each presenter gets three more to do the same and it grows like that
      • This would be a good thing for SEDS to promote, possibly as an educational outreach project
