(21:38:52) James Welch: how late are you taking submissions? not suggesting anyhtin
(21:38:58) James Welch: g, just curisou
(21:40:01) Brian Zollman: Well, the final article list is usually compiled around the 27th of the month, but can change up to a few hours before the first. Submissions are welcome any time, the likelyhood of it missing the issue is low
(21:41:33) James Welch: okay
(21:42:38) Me: ok, moving on, brian young:
(21:45:16) Brian Young: oh, sorry, im at work and got distracted
(21:45:21) Brian Young: nothing in particular to report
(21:45:49) Me: k, james:
(21:46:01) James Welch: This last week was my spring
(21:46:02) James Welch: but
(21:46:09) James Welch: I was stuck in Tucson, Arizona
(21:46:19) James Welch: so I went to a ton of online groups
(21:46:28) James Welch: and just started to put things on the message board
(21:46:31) James Welch: first talking
(21:46:41) James Welch: so I'm not just an advertiser
(21:46:55) James Welch: then I went and just spammed a couple groups
(21:47:11) James Welch: I've gotten a few interested responses from high schools students
(21:47:16) Me: cool
(21:47:46) James Welch: but after I respond, they say that they hadn't thought it through and don't want to spend time in their senior year doing that
(21:47:47) James Welch: so
(21:48:13) James Welch: but I got a lot of professors and have some encourageing rsponses from them
(21:48:27) James Welch: and that's the end of my update
(21:48:54) Me: k
(21:49:41) Me: well, as for me: I'm going to be sending out another round of conferences emails shortly and will be making som website updates during my spring break next week
(21:50:20) Me: anything else anyone wants to discuss, questions, whatever?
(21:50:31) Brian Zollman: Wha'd I miss last week?
(21:51:02) Brian Zollman: And is the govt still being lazy or are we nonprofit yet?
(21:51:19) Me: here's the transcript: http://wiki.seds.org/index.php/2007_March_13_SEDS-USA_Exec_Transcript
(21:52:08) Me: think john's still waiting on non-profit status
(21:52:29) Darrell2: oh!
(21:52:47) Darrell2: if we're non-profit can we write off some stuff I bought!?
(21:53:09) Darrell2: cause I got this pony that our membership really wanted...but it's a pain to pay all the taxes related to it
(21:53:21) Darrell2: livestock tax, feed tax, not to mention the certification
(21:53:26) Darrell2: it's a pain!
(21:53:52) Darrell2: (it was Ryan's idea to get the pony)
(21:53:57) Me: jeez, the things our president does behind our backs ;)
(21:54:09) Darrell2: hey....there was a specific vote on it
(21:54:10) Brian Zollman: lol
(21:55:16) Me: well, if no one has anything else interesting/relevant, then we're done for today
(21:56:08) Darrell2: what about China?
(21:57:22) Darrell2: their space-related student led club beats us in membership by 1000-1
(21:57:45) James Welch: but that's because they out number us 1000 to 1
(21:57:52) Darrell2: they also have a trillion dollar surplus
(21:58:20) Me: 中国很好
(21:58:44) James Welch: black flag!
(21:58:48) Darrell2: darn...I see Ryan has been preparing
(21:59:15) Me: 你对
(21:59:43) Me: http://www.yellowbridge.com/language/chinese-dictionary.php
(21:59:56) Me: (in case you guys want to translate)
(22:00:48) James Welch: wow, that's a tiny bit racist
(22:01:13) Darrell2: how?
(22:01:21) Darrell2: it's good sense to learn Chinese
(22:01:31) Darrell2: that way you can get all the jobs they'll be offering
(22:01:36) Darrell2: and leave the US in the dust
(22:01:45) James Welch: sarcasm doesn't traslate well over AIM
(22:01:47) Me: 为什么
(22:01:47) Brian Young: or at least get jobs listening to them
(22:01:47) Darrell2: since they have a competitive capitalist society over there
(22:02:36) Darrell2: wait...they don't!
(22:02:43) Darrell2: you ain't getting any money Ryan
(22:04:47) Nyeerrmm left the room.
(22:04:58) Darrell2: because...their communists
(22:05:01) Darrell2: they're
(22:05:11) Darrell2: they don't pay on a competitive scale...they just pay you
(22:06:21) RolandBolser left the room.
(22:07:31) BZWingZero left the room.
(22:13:01) dandersonn43 left the room.
