Jedi8798: hola

Jedi8798: worked that time :-)

Viridis321: cool

Viridis321: I don't see anybody else online so I guess we can go ahead and get started

DaFroshman: aight

Viridis321: first thing...I want to make sure that the contact info I have for the chapters here is up to date

Jedi8798: (am in a conference call simultaneously so I might be laggy)

Viridis321: np

DaFroshman: r u just going off of seds.org and/or the wiki?

Viridis321: it's an email that Elizabeth sent me a while back ago

rmmlg08: seds.org should be up to date

rmmlg08: let me know if it's not

Viridis321: ok

rmmlg08: (you should be able to update it yourself, but let me know if you have problems)

Viridis321: will do

Viridis321: Sean...is there another contact that you could give me for CU?

Viridis321: on the site, it's only you and in my excel sheet, I only have Ben Herbert

DaFroshman: yeah, Ben Graduated - the site is correct...

DaFroshman: you should probably also have Ryan Kobrick as a contact...

Viridis321: that would be awesome...I'm trying to get at least two for each chapter

DaFroshman: Kobrick@Colorado.edu

jwayer2: SEDS.org is not right for Ilinois Space society, I am the rep (Jessica Wayer) not Guillermo Massaccesi, and the e-mail contact is mcruce2@gmail.com (Keyword to: mailto:mcruce2@gmail.com)

Jedi8798: Isnt that Matt's e-mail?

jwayer2: yes

Viridis321: I have Jessica's

jwayer2: my e-mail is jwayer2@uiuc.edu (Keyword to: mailto:jwayer2@uiuc.edu)

Jedi8798: k

Viridis321: also, if willing...can I get phone numbers for the chapters...these will not be posted on the website and will only stay within the Eboard

Viridis321: and you can email those to me if you all would like

DaFroshman: k (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

jwayer2: I can get the phone number for the phone in the ISS office for the next CoC, I don't have it right now.

Viridis321: ok, that'll work

Viridis321: you can email as well

Viridis321: whichever's easier

Viridis321: Josh is UA's info up to date on the site?

DaFroshman: just send it to dlucas_sedsucf@yahoo.com? (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Jedi8798: link me?

Viridis321: yep

Viridis321: http://seds.org/chapters.php (Keyword to: http://seds.org/chapters.php)

DaFroshman: k (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Viridis321: I have Bret and Emily

Jedi8798: Bret Simon is no longer our chapter rep due to inactivity,

Jedi8798: we're looking for a new one

Viridis321: ok

Jedi8798: I'd say for right now just put Emily down for both

Viridis321: ok will do

Viridis321: Ryan, I'm assuming MIT is up to date??

rmmlg08: yeah

Viridis321: I also have you down in the excel sheet...can you email me your phone # when you get a chance, and I'll pester Darrel for his

Viridis321: alright, that covers all of the chapter contact info for those that are here...can we go through a quick project/activity update for the chapters

Viridis321: Sean, what's CU up to?

DaFroshman: well, let's see here... (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

jwayer2: Two from ISS went as well

DaFroshman: saw Liz there...guess I didn't know anyone else...:-/ (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

jwayer2: That's ok. We also had a crowd attend Goddard

rmmlg08: can I get emails for poeple who went to march storm

rmmlg08: (I'm trying to get feedback from people who went to events like this)

DaFroshman: the three from CU were: (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: sean.odell@colorado.edu (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: Bruce Davis - bld175@gmail.com (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: and Dan Baca - Daniel.Baca@colorado.edu (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: anyway, so that was our big travel event for the spring, otherwise we're trying to have at least one all hands, guest speaker-type event per month (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

rmmlg08: cool

DaFroshman: had Brian Enke from SWRI & Mars Society here recently (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: we have the guy who is the director of business development on the Orion project at Lockheed lined up in April (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: a few others - we've been trying to work on Alan Stern since his office is like 4 blocks from campus, but that's not working so well (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Viridis321: very cool...sounds like you guys are doing good

DaFroshman: seem to be - have a pretty big Yuri's Night thing going (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

wakerider73: I hope ours works out

DaFroshman: have that National Space symposium just down the road from us in a few weeks and we'll be running a booth in the exhibit hall for that, so yeah (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

DaFroshman: what do you guys have lined up? (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Viridis321: we'll let Ryan go next

Viridis321: oh wait...n/m...greg go ahead

wakerider73: well right now we are focused on Yuri's night...we only have a couple weeks left

wakerider73: Our new president has booked a complex for us. Volleyball, swimming, movies, contests...should be good. We're just looking for huge next year when it lands on a Saturday

DaFroshman: nice :-D (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Jedi8798: awesome

wakerider73: Other than that we are working on Space Visions Congress conference

Viridis321: Ryan, what's MIT up to?

rmmlg08: so we've been working on our usual projects:

rmmlg08: -mitset is moving along

rmmlg08: -astropreneurs is bringing in various speakers

rmmlg08: -zerog sent off their equipment recently

rmmlg08: -conf planning moving along

rmmlg08: -trying to get astronomy moving

rmmlg08: -and I think deltax is moving along too

rmmlg08: (believe that's about it)

Viridis321: deltax?

rmmlg08: the other part of he centennial challenges

rmmlg08: (the ribbon part)

Viridis321: ah...ok

DaFroshman: ah...right (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Jedi8798: nice name for it

wakerider73: lol

Viridis321: Hi Dhurata

Viridis321: alright, Josh...do you want to go next?

Jedi8798: Sure.

uarda2003: hi guys

uarda2003: I am Dhurata SEDS-PSU

uarda2003: president

Jedi8798: Allright guys, on National Projects level we just got some disapointing news that the XPrize has cancelled their plans for the Reusable Rocket Challenge for the 07 XPrize

Jedi8798: Given the LARGE interest from SEDS chapters, we're not giving up on a SEDS National level

DaFroshman: good (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Jedi8798: Just is quite annoying because them hosting it would have solved alot of problems

rmmlg08: can we still have it there

rmmlg08: except seds hosting it

Jedi8798: Jason Dunn and several UCF people have volunteered to help fundraise, and I am thinking of hosting a general meeting next week, or maybe even next CoC to discuss options and what people are interested in doing

rmmlg08: (would be a good way to increase visibility if we can pull it off)

Jedi8798: Ryan, possibly, I only JUST got the e-mail telling me tehy cancelled it a few minutes ago

rmmlg08: k

Jedi8798: I dropped them a reply asking if we could still do stuff, but I dunno

Jedi8798: I'm even thinking we could do a low level challenge this year

DaFroshman: that'd be awesome if we could (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Jedi8798: like the rocket plane thing Brian and I were thinking of before

Jedi8798: and set a high level goal for next years

Jedi8798: but set it NOW

Jedi8798: so that chapters have over a year to work on it

Jedi8798: the main concern I got about hte RRC was that there wasnt enough time

Jedi8798: So figure next CoC having more rocket discussion

Jedi8798: get your rocket guys to attend ;-)

DaFroshman: done * (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

Viridis321: alright, Dhurata you want to give an update for PSU?

uarda2003: Ok so far we have had two general meetings

uarda2003: one was delayed from the snow and the other one we had Dr. Philbrick , a Astronomer as a speaker

uarda2003: this comming meeting we'll have Dr. Paz... [sorry I cannot spell his name] he's one of the PSU astronauts

uarda2003: our elections will be running soon so new e-board members will be soon on board.

uarda2003: And about the rocket project

uarda2003: we've tried to get in touch [Mock from my e-board] but nothing yet

uarda2003: I believe Josh was supposed to e-mail or something

uarda2003: that's so far :-)thanks

Viridis321: alright, Jessica you want to go next?

jwayer2: ISS has Illinois space day coming up where students in middle and high school come from all over the state to learn about Space, and we are havign the astronaut

jwayer2: do a live video withthe kids

jwayer2: Our tech diector, and his crew are woking a mach 1 rocket

jwayer2: As teh excitment is winding down from Goddard we are gearing up for Yuri's night

jwayer2: We are also helping out with Relay for Life at UIUC

jwayer2: Have any of you gone throught the certification process to launch M or N engines our tech team would like advice as to how to do that

DaFroshman: no one I know of has (Keyword to: mailto:Kobrick@Colorado.edu)

jwayer2: We are also goign to participat e the the Apogee books fundraiser, if anyone is interested shoot me an e-mail and I'll send it to the president od Apogee books, so far MIT SEDS was th eonly on eto reply

jwayer2: I think that's it for now

Viridis321: ok...awesome

Viridis321: sounds like everyone is doing a good job staying busy this year

Viridis321: does anybody else have any announcments, comments, questions, etc?

Viridis321: if not then we are through for the evening

Jedi8798: later

Jedi8798: be sure to tell your rocket people to come next meeting ;-)

uarda2003: good nigth everyone
