RolandBolser (8:09:25 PM): rofl RolandBolser (8:09:43 PM): uh, darrell isn't exactly hte best driver RolandBolser (8:09:54 PM): so we made fun of him when he made a u turn in the rain dandersonn43 (8:10:07 PM): ah lizeeb3 (8:10:16 PM): sorry about that lizeeb3 (8:10:53 PM): So, to start, Brian Young said he couldn't make the meeting but had a few things from ISDC lizeeb3 (8:11:36 PM): He had two items: lizeeb3 (8:11:56 PM): 1.) spoke with a member of the North Texas NSS chapter about possibly helping update the careers section of the BSA Space Exploration merit badge. Not sure where this will lead, but I plan to follow it up. lizeeb3 (8:12:21 PM): BSA= boy scouts of america lizeeb3 (8:13:05 PM): For NASA CoLabs, I suggested that an ideal way to begin setting up a community information sharing website would be an education page, similar to my part of the wiki, but better organized and with better exposure. lizeeb3 (8:13:24 PM): I made the suggestion and gave them my contact info, so the ball is entirely in their court now. lizeeb3 (8:13:45 PM): (the end) lizeeb3 (8:14:53 PM): so if you guys have any comments or suggestions, please send them to him lizeeb3 (8:15:19 PM): Does anyone else want to share what they did at ISDC? rmmlg08 (8:15:52 PM): I had a pretty good contact about someone wanting to start some chapters in europe rmmlg08 (8:15:59 PM): so we'll see where that goes RolandBolser (8:16:20 PM): we got at least two other people interested in SEDS RolandBolser (8:16:39 PM): and one is definitely going to start a chapter while the other might lizeeb3 (8:17:36 PM): I talked to one guy who was going to try to convince his son to start a highschool chapter RolandBolser (8:18:15 PM): ben got more SEDS exposure by calling rick a badass lizeeb3 (8:18:33 PM): And I talked to 2 company representatives who wanted to look at SEDS members for employment/internships lizeeb3 (8:18:36 PM): haha lizeeb3 (8:19:50 PM): Anything else about ISDC? RolandBolser (8:19:55 PM): I think we also made a personal impression on a lot of people lizeeb3 (8:20:08 PM): For those that didn't go, next year it will be in washington dc rmmlg08 (8:20:56 PM): everyone who got internship opportunities, send them to me as I will post them rmmlg08 (8:21:16 PM): and eventually set up so that people can post them like news posts lizeeb3 (8:21:27 PM): awesome lizeeb3 (8:22:18 PM): alright, onto the general meeting content... lizeeb3 (8:22:42 PM): who has an update?
