[18:15] Ryanblah Qinan: sure [18:15] Ryanblah Qinan: btw, I just sent an email to sedsexec [18:15] Ryanblah Qinan: but that wil be the second item [18:15] Ryanblah Qinan: so first of all, XPC [18:16] Ryanblah Qinan: I've heard back from some of the chapters planning on attending as to who the plan to send [18:16] Ryanblah Qinan: namely ERAU and Illinois [18:16] Ryanblah Qinan: Brian, if you could get me some names n the next couple of days, that would be great [18:17] Ryanblah Qinan: and then I will pick 6 people who are interested in working at the booth [18:17] Ryanblah Qinan: and subit them to XPC as the 6 [18:17] Ryanblah Qinan: as for things to bring [18:17] Gerard Salyut: I'll have a pass allowing me to be there anyway, so I might be able to give you guys a hand [18:17] Gerard Salyut: but no promises [18:18] Ryanblah Qinan: anyone else from UofA? [18:18] Ryanblah Qinan: josh, do you know [18:18] Gerard Salyut: We're bring 10 or so people [18:18] Gerard Salyut: but we havent required commitments until... Friday I think [18:18] BTYoung Yifu: yeah, ill try to have that in a few days [18:18] Ryanblah Qinan: k [18:19] Gerard Salyut: since it is so close to us we dont force people to RSVP until close to the event [18:19] Gerard Salyut: so more people end up coming [18:19] Gerard Salyut: Do we have some sort of SEDS button or something for all SEDS members at the event to wear? [18:19] Ryanblah Qinan: so, I heard from ERAU who will be bringing a projector to show movies and a poster [18:19] Gerard Salyut: like last year? [18:24] You: *woth [18:24] Ryanblah Qinan: I think so [18:24] You: ok [18:24] Ryanblah Qinan: if nothing else, just stick them in the back of the booth if we have too many [18:24] Ryanblah Qinan: or rotate them or something [18:25] You: yeah [18:25] You: oh [18:25] You: we have a model ofSS1 [18:25] You: that someone built who is going to be there [18:25] You: i can ask him to bring it [18:25] Ryanblah Qinan: sure [18:25] Ryanblah Qinan: that'd be cool [18:25] You: ok [18:25] Ryanblah Qinan: so it sounds like we should have sufficient material [18:26] Ryanblah Qinan: present at our booth and plenty of people to staff it [18:26] Ryanblah Qinan: but yeah, I'll keep in contact with those of you who have been talking to me about XPC on behlaf of your chap [18:26] Ryanblah Qinan: any other comments for our presence there? [18:26] Ryanblah Qinan: k [18:27] Gerard Salyut: I'll probally bring some copies of press releases and rules and sponsor packages [18:27] Gerard Salyut: for the rocket competition [18:27] Ryanblah Qinan: ok, cool [18:27] You: danderson will be bringing the sponsorship borchure [18:27] Gerard Salyut: but those will be more of for people to keep in the back incase someone asks how they can help SEDS [18:27] Ryanblah Qinan: k [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: feel free to email me with anything else that you may have [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: so moving on to endowment fund [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: I just emailed the board the latest document [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: I talked to the person peter recommended I talk to last friday [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: and we had a really good discussion [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: and will be revamping the general plan [18:28] Ryanblah Qinan: such that [18:29] Ryanblah Qinan: SV08 will be the public unveiling of the endowment fund [18:29] Ryanblah Qinan: and then it will be a three year drive toward a $300k for SEDS 30th [18:29] Ryanblah Qinan: the next year until SV08 starting SV07 I will be beginning a seed campaign [18:29] Ryanblah Qinan: which is more of an undercover version [18:30] Ryanblah Qinan: to make sure that we can get big sponsors and we are sure that we can do this before we publicly unveil this [18:30] Ryanblah Qinan: but peter, that other guy, and I will continue to discuss this prior to SV07 [18:30] Ryanblah Qinan: and then at SV07 [18:30] Ryanblah Qinan: prob on Sun night\ [18:30] Ryanblah Qinan: we will have a smaller discussion about endowment fund [18:31] Ryanblah Qinan: planning and seeing campaign [18:31] Ryanblah Qinan: with peter, the board, board of advisors, and anyone else we think would be good to help us [18:31] Gerard Salyut: cool [18:31] Ryanblah Qinan: so, that's more carefully described in the doc [18:31] You: sounds really cool [18:31] Gerard Salyut: I'd also like to have a similar meeting for rocket competition [18:32] Gerard Salyut: how many BoA will be there? [18:32] Gerard Salyut: do we actually know definite attendees? [18:32] Ryanblah Qinan: I'm going to make sure that you have a slot on Mon for rocket [18:32] Ryanblah Qinan: so many of the BoA are there as speakers [18:32] Gerard Salyut: nice big one please :-) [18:32] Ryanblah Qinan: I've tried contacting the others, but with limited success [18:32] Gerard Salyut: half hour slot isnt enough to get through introductions [18:32] Gerard Salyut: lol [18:32] Gerard Salyut: ;-) [18:33] Ryanblah Qinan: it'll be at least an hour for each workshop [18:33] Ryanblah Qinan: and in reality, there will be other conference rooms in the area [18:33] Ryanblah Qinan: so things can break off from the official workshops as needed [18:33] Ryanblah Qinan: so, that's the current deal with the endowment fund plan [18:34] Ryanblah Qinan: read over the doc again and let me know if you have any other comments, suggestions [18:34] You: ok [18:34] Ryanblah Qinan: so that we hve less nitty gritty details to discuss at the planning session at the conf [18:34] Ryanblah Qinan: if no one has comments, that is all for me [18:34] You: alright [18:35] You: well two short things from me [18:35] You: first, the next NOVA will be out in a week [18:36] You: next, Mark Craig said the art prize donation from SAIC will be available to us when we need it [18:36] You: i.e. next year [18:36] You: just an fyi [18:36] You: does anyone else have an announcement?
