[18:09] Jedi8798: First order of business, I highly
encourage all of you to attend the closest Yuri's
Night Party on Saturday
[18:09] Jedi8798: who here is either hosting or going
to one?
[18:09] KellyMann10: im hosting a really small one at
my house
[18:09] rmmlg08: the boston nss chapter is having a
sortof one tomorrow at the next gb meeting
[18:10] Jedi8798: cool beans. Well maybe if MIT SEDS
is bored next year with no conference to host they'll
host a better one
[18:10] Jedi8798: Alright on to more serious business
[18:10] Jedi8798: So the UCSD SEDS issue
[18:10] Jedi8798: Darrell and I have basically tracked
down what happened
[18:11] Jedi8798: and while it is no one's fault
particularly
[18:11] Jedi8798: I would like to a) check to see if
any other potential chapters have slipped through the
cracks
[18:11] Jedi8798: and b) try to prevent this in the
future
[18:12] AeroAggie84: yeah...i was a little shocked
because i didnt recieve a check for dues...maybe john
evans did
[18:12] Jedi8798: it came through paypal
[18:12] Jedi8798: do you have the paypal account info

[18:12] AeroAggie84: ok i will check the records on
that...yeah i do

past year on the paypal account

chapters

on this, you'll be setting up a regular meeting IRL
with HaoQi to check on what chapters are joining,
correct?

visits this weekend

using chapterdatabase2008

[18:16] joc 75: it's color coded as well for payment
[18:16] joc 75: any chapter that isn't listed is not
an official chapter
[18:16] joc 75: and should be brought to my attention

payment info up to date there?

[18:17] Jedi8798: National Alliances
[18:17] Jedi8798: one key point I ran on this year
[18:18] Jedi8798: was building our national alliances
[18:18] Jedi8798: and getting more from them for our
chapters and the organization at large
[18:18] Jedi8798: I wanted to hear from you guys any
suggestions you might have of organizations SEDS
should partner with, and what we can give to them, and
what they can get from us
[18:18] Jedi8798: You dont have to necessarily give me
the ideas now
[18:19] Jedi8798: but think on it over the next week,
and I'd like to have a brainstorming session next week
on this
[18:19] KellyMann10: sounds good
[18:19] joc 75: agreed
[18:19] Jedi8798: things like the Space Exploration
Alliance (SEA) of which we are a member, but we dont
get anything from yet they are asking us for things
(they want our membership contact info so they can
have a SEA junior organization outside of SEDS)

[18:20] Jedi8798: We need a CoC rep for next CoC
meeting
[18:20] Jedi8798: Any volunteers outside of me, Brian,
and Ryan?
[18:20] KellyMann10: when is the next meeting?

if anything is going on, but i think i could volunteer

for a limited number of members to volunteer at
NewSpace
[18:23] joc 75: sponsorship would include
registration, lodging, food and drinks
[18:23] joc 75: i.e. basically people would just have
to get there
[18:23] joc 75: I need to get him a list of people

[18:24] joc 75: I'm probably going to send him one

reps

somehow

they'll cover the rest

internship in dc and colorado

review meeting

sent her the seds activity list a few days ago and she
hasnt gotten back to me with a list of things to do

involved in

throughout the summer

decisions made each month

throughout the summer

issue
[18:31] joc 75: i.e. bring the item up for debate
[18:32] joc 75: ask if they want to meet once a month,
or once during the summer
[18:32] joc 75: so that way whichever way it is
[18:32] joc 75: they will attend
[18:32] joc 75: to do that I need exec board rep to
bring it up
[18:32] joc 75: and for that I need the exec board to
add it as an official agenda item
[18:33] Jedi8798: I can attend to bring this up, or
Kelly can as the official Rep
[18:33] joc 75: specifically I need the exec board rep
to bring it up as a "you should meet once a month so
you can review all the work we're doing"
