[19:05] Jedi8798: Lapel Pins have been ordered, and
paid for. They should be here in 2-4 weeks
[19:06] Jedi8798: John Evans has shipped all of the
financial documetns to Ryan and he has recieved them
[19:06] Jedi8798: and is now working with Darrell's
Dad's Company to organize the 501 and Endowment
[19:06] Jedi8798: As for where they are, I dont know

updates from Brian and the other Ryan which were
mailed in

[19:10] rmmlg08: ok, so basically, this is in regard
to coc procedures
[19:11] rmmlg08: to give context
[19:11] rmmlg08: darrell received a request from a
chapter to get moving with the resume database
[19:11] rmmlg08: and tagged onto it another part
[19:11] rmmlg08: namely to include a kickback to
chapters
[19:11] rmmlg08: fromt he proceeds of it
[19:11] rmmlg08: to be spent/allocated/etc TBD
[19:12] rmmlg08: this was as a COC item
[19:12] rmmlg08: and will be discussed tomorrow
[19:12] rmmlg08: but in the future
[19:12] rmmlg08: he'd like to implement that chap reps
must submit agenda items at least 3 days before the
meeting
[19:12] rmmlg08: to ensure the flow of the meeting
[19:13] Jedi8798: that sounds reasonable
[19:13] rmmlg08: and so that he can prepare for
administering the meeting
[19:13] hydrogenlithium: agenda?
[19:13] rmmlg08: well coc has an agenda just as exec
[19:13] rmmlg08: and just as we can submit things to
josh chaps can submit things to darrell

[19:13] Jedi8798: so they can be planned into the
meeting

[19:14] Jedi8798: but that does bring up a good point,
and I will mention that to Josh Sosa tommorow

it tonight

priority website wise

running

[19:15] rmmlg08: and that is for proposals to overturn
exec decisions

those)

to get approved by their schools first

meeting with the prospective BU chapter

[19:26] hydrogenlithium: they also have a good
astronomy club

[19:26] Jedi8798: would be nice to have another
Astronomy SEDS chapter

SEDS with existing clubs :-)

started sending out the new version of the finance
proposal to various companies
[19:28] Jedi8798: hopefully setting up an in person
meeting with Raytheon in the next week or two
[19:29] Jedi8798: they're looking to really change
their image right now
[19:29] Jedi8798: so I'm hoping to get them on board
as title name sponsor
[19:29] Jedi8798: Also the letter of intent document
and requirements will go out tommorow night during CoC
[19:29] KellyMann10: cool

waiting on X PRIZE... they havent commited to anything
so I'm going to write it into the letter of intent
that chapters are aware that if the X PRIZE Cup does
[19:30] Jedi8798: nt happen this year we will probably
either reschedule to the conference
[19:30] Jedi8798: or the next year's cup / air show
[19:31] Jedi8798: lastly, I talked with the Phoenix
Mission people and they are very excited about the
idea of students interviewing Phoenix mission members
in teh month leading up to landing
[19:31] Jedi8798: they're going to see about getting
us some professionals to help record/edit the
pod/videocasts
[19:32] Jedi8798: If there are no further updates, I
would like to ask what your chapters are planning for
both the upcoming Columbia disaster aniversary and
Yuris Night this year

[19:33] hydrogenlithium: Josh, does your chapter have
anything planned?
[19:33] rmmlg08: to answer haoqi, mit has had bad
experience with yn, although we had never thought of
anythign for columbia
[19:33] KellyMann10: I think we will plan to spend
the night hanging out and watching some space related
movies
[19:33] Jedi8798: for Columbia I will be putting up
"We Remember" posters around campus.
[19:34] rmmlg08: although last year I think we had a
"office hours" type thing
[19:34] Jedi8798: As for Yuris Night I am trying to
convince our department to host a large "Space Expo"
out on our mall
[19:34] rmmlg08: which went relatively well
[19:34] hydrogenlithium: "office hours"?
[19:34] KellyMann10: sounds like a cool idea
[19:34] rmmlg08: like we sit in the office and
publicize
[19:34] rmmlg08: and have pizza and talk about space
stuff
[19:34] rmmlg08: like the last officers meeting turned
into
[19:35] Jedi8798: Yeah last year's Yuris Night went
bad for the UofA as well. it turned into me kidnapping
half our members, and Chris Lewicki, and dragging them
to a bar to toast Yuri
[19:35] hydrogenlithium: publicize ... so non-SEDS
people showed up
[19:35] hydrogenlithium: hopefully
[19:35] rmmlg08: that's part of the idea
[19:36] hydrogenlithium: hey did anybody go to the
second life yn party last year?
[19:36] Jedi8798: oh and a reminder, Yuris Night falls
on a Saturday this year I believe

[19:36] Jedi8798: was... interesting
[19:36] hydrogenlithium: would you recommend it?

[19:36] Jedi8798: little boring, since there wasnt
mucht o do besides parking your avatar

[19:36] Jedi8798: etc...
[19:37] Jedi8798: its something that might be
interesting to project on a screen at a Yuris Night
party of your own
[19:37] Jedi8798: get aprojector screen, speakers, and
a laptop
[19:37] Jedi8798: and put it on as some background
entertainment to your event
[19:38] Jedi8798: With that I think we'll close early
