Action Items
- Josh Sosa – Setup website health status (siteuptime.com). Work on incorporating twitter feed into website
- Basant Sagar – Sponsor e-mails going out this week.
- Bruce Davis – Compile list for end-of-summer action item lists.
- Rick Hanton – Compile promo for new chapter website templates
Minutes
- Website: we need to be more independent from our old website managers, send inquiries to webmaster [at] seds.org. If a problem is noticed, send a personal awareness e-mail to Josh or Ryan.
- Chapter survey: further updates in incorporating ISU and AAS for SEDS chapter awards.
- Expansion: Need school contacts to send “expansion packets” to. Would prefer to have a physical mailing address (as opposed to digital).
- Rockon: Contact initiated with AeroPAC, good reception. Plans to enhance sponsorship document. New sponsor e-mails going out this week.
- Four new chapter website templates are currently running
- Outreach: teachertube.com has a series of videos online, many of which are created through the challenger center. There is interest in teachertube working with SEDS.
Progress Reports
Basant Sagar (National Projects):
- Updates for the week ending 08/09
- Emailed AeroPAC enquiring about availability (of BlackRock) for Spring 10
- Found out new sponsor contacts at Orbital, Jacobs and ATK (emails to be sent before exec board meeting).
- End-of-Summer To Do List
- Continue negotiations with BlackRock and Stratofox regarding Rockoon Contest logistics
- Scout for potential sponsors - use old contacts of SEDS
- Update the Projects Section of the SEDS website
- Prepare a report on the status of ongoing SEDS projects.
- Send an email update to all teams just before the fall term begins.
Grant Atkinson (Chapter Affairs):
- This week I sent out a call for updates to include in NOVA as requested at the last exec board meeting. My list of action items is as follows:
- Send out biannual chapter satisfaction survey
- Talk to chapters that have had low CoC attendance to find ways to improve participation in the future.
Justin Graves (Finance)
- This week I have been working a little on preparing a presentation of the responsibilitiets of my positions to ease transitions in the future. I also got the email sent out for chapter dues. As for action items for the summer, the only thing I can think of at the moment is to organize all the previous finance documents with the new finance documents more efficiently.

- All: COMPILE end-of-summer action items and deadlines, SEND to Josh Nelson
- Josh Nelson: Send e-mail to Keri Hancock, discuss current status on Exec Board
- Rick Hanton: Be Exec Rep at the Aug CoC mtg on 8/26/09
- Grant Atkinson: Send request for NOVA survey to chapters
- Basant Sagar: Continue working on Rockon, plan for weekly updates to Exec Board
- Keri Bean: Compile rough draft for model spaceship contest by 8/17/09
- Justin Graves: Remind Chapters regarding Dues
