Dues Collection
- Remind Chapters that due collection starts now and runs through SpaceVision '09

Progress Reports

Grant Atkinson (Chapter Affairs): This week my efforts have been focused on the CoC meeting that occured last Wednesday. This week's CoC featured an update from Kyle Stephens on SpaceVision 2009 conference planning, a report from Eric Peters from the SEDS Conference Committee (which was made permanent as well), and discussed the idea of the SEDS biannual chapter satisfaction survey described in Ryan's new draft constitution. If you have any questions or comments on my recent goings-on just let me know.

Rick Hanton (Expansion): Transitioned new secretary into position and responsibilities. Updating SEDS board on progress of University of Michigan SEDS in joining SEDS-USA (just waiting on dues). Got Libby at Kansas University looking once again at forming a SEDS group(she forgot in the last month). Going to talk to publications in the next weeks about seeking funding to push more materials to schools around the country in the next month about SEDS.

Matt Cannella (Publications): This past week I have firmed up more details about the oncoming NOVA. I have already completed the "alumni spotlight" interview with Masten Space Systems and Illinois space society alum Ben Brockert, and have begun editing a rough draft version of an article by the newly appointed alumni reporter Darrell Cain. Things are moving well towards our proposed late September publication date. Also, we have confirmed a short article from keri on how Texas A&M SEDS got to the top 3 of the Moon Tasks contest. No work has gone into the recruitment posters this week besides general planning. A "sit-down" meeting is scheduled when the semester begins with my top reporter for the NOVA, Dan Pastuf (President, UBSEDS). That pretty much does it. What project did you have in minde for us? Also, thanks for Ben Brockert. He's easily been the best alumni spotlight
