SEDS-USA Executive Board Meeting, February 16, 2009

Absent: Keri Bean, Keri Hancock.

Action Items

Josh Sosa: set the accounts of all of the execs up with a www.seds.org/officerposition/ folder
All SEDS Executive board members review Facebook advertisement PDF and send input to Rick Hanton.

Meeting Minutes

Publication update on NOVA, brochures, and SEDS powerpoint presentation.
- Matt Cannella finished and distrusted the first draft SEDS quarterly publication NOVA, to the SEDS executive board.
  - Send any updates or corrections to Matt before the weekend so that he may make any final updates.
- Matt also informed the executive board that University at Buffalo has a fund set up specifically for publishing, UB SEDS has submitted a grant application to buy a printer for SEDS publishing and future coppies of NOVA.
- Matt is meeting with a professional graphic artist at UB on Wednesday to design the SEDS letterhead and template.

Meeting Minutes posted?
- Joshua Nelson received complaints that the last two weeks meeting minutes and transcripts still aren't posted on the SEDS wiki.
- Zeke informed the SEDS board that the last two weeks meetings minutes are not posted because of he did not have the transcripts for the last two meetings since he was absent.
  - Since the February 2nd SEDS meeting was held using the SEDS chat server the transcript may be lost.

Server Upgrade
- The University of Arizona Phoenix Mission has donated one of their servers to SEDS.
  - The New server has 2, 500 GB hard drives and 8 GB ram
- Joshua Sosa and other SEDS members will be working on transferring the servers and materials this weekend.
- The old SEDS server may be used as a development server where SEDS members can develop new material and content for SEDS.org without endangering the new server and whats up already.
- Executive board also briefly discussed updating the old server's OS to a Linux-distro or to Mac OS X (10.5)

SEDS Podcast discussion omitted due to Keri Bean's absence.

Basant updated the SEDS executive board on the Rockoon project.
- Some possible locations include: Aeropac, Black Rock(North Nevada), The Chihuahuan desert.
- The SEDS Rockoon competition will take place in the same time frame as Spacevision 2009.

- Proposed SEDS representatives are as follows
