Meeting Minutes
- Rick discusses changing meeting day.
- Thank you to people who submitted weekly reports.
- Members present would be ok with moving weekly meetings to Tuesday.
- Rick is ok with keeping meetings on Mondays for Matt Cannella (who has NASA commitments).
- SEDS Secretary Impeachment Proceedings
- Joshua has attempted to contact Zeke Silva by phone, email, facebook. No answer.
- Thought to give Zeke 1 more week to respond is ok with the board.
- Rockoon Meeting Recap and Update
- Rockoon contest is on and is planned for spring/summer 2010.
- Probably launch site is Black Rock, NV with Stratofox helping on logistics.
- Target budget of $10k with letters to companies going out on Thursday.
- CoC Rep Chosen
- Keri H will be the rep for the June 24 meeting.
- SEDS Regional Coordinators
- Dan Pastuf (UBSEDS) has a plan and will be asked to explain at next Exec meeting. 7-0-0 vote on this.
- Rick H. presents expansion update (see below)
- Also discussed working with SpaceVidcast and updating the SEDS Google Earth map.
Progress Report
- Rick Hanton (Expansion)
- Sent messages and received some replies from Space Grants in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Wyoming, S. Dakota, Nebraska, Alabama, Maine, and Puerto Rico (not wanting to leave them out). Waiting for some replies, while others forwarded to their state's universities.
- Contacted University of MN Rocketry Club, University of Texas Longhorn Rocketry Assc., Northwestern University, and John Hopkins AIAA chapter about the possibility of joining SEDS. Mostly waiting for replies.
- Will work more on SEDS wordpress themes in coming weeks.
- Keri Hancock (High School)
- Sent an email to the contact at Stratofox. Received a reply from him as well as from another member of the team. They are forwarding it out to their group list. I keep trying to forward their emails out to everyone (they are quite lengthy) but the computer seems to hate me.
- Working on a flier for Matt to hopefully be distributed at University of Alabama Huntsville.
- Justin Graves (Finance)
- Mailed Chris Lewicki his reimbursement check early last week and tried to contact Ryan Goodnight on updates but not much of a response from him.
- Grant Atkinson (Chapter Affairs)
- Focusing on updating the SEDS chapter database and filling in gaps in the data.
- After an inquiry, received responses from Texas A&M, Arizona, UCF, Colorado, University of Buffalo, Boston University, Olin, and Princeton with additional data.
- Emailing the chapter rep of each non-responsive chapter personally to encourage a response.
- Will keep closer tabs on chapters at CoC meetings in the future.
