Meeting Minutes
- Keri Bean gave us an update on the SEDS Podcasts
- Due to the low volume of scripts received, the March deadline has been reschedule
- Keri also suggested that we submit the finished videos to a few teachers before we submit the videos publicly for critique.
- Jupiter, Mars, Pluto/KBOs, and a couple other scrips still need to be finished.
- Rick gave us preliminary statistics about the Facebook advertisement.
- SEDS has received about 686,000 views of the two ad versions combined
- Of the 686,000 ads displayed 170 people clicked the ad resulting in a cost of $97.57.
- Unfortuantley due to the server switch some of the traffic could have ended up at a broken link.
- Current keywords: Astronomy, Astrophysics, cosmology, Cosmos, Education, exploration,
International Club, Organization, Physics, Space, Space Travel, Stars.
- Executive board decided to cap the preliminary advertisement at $100.
- UB SEDS recieved grant to buy a quality printer for SEDS publications
- Printer will be used to print out future editions of Nova
- Grant updated the board on the last CoC meeting
- The new SEDS University of Cincinnati chapter was in attendance!
- SEDS executive board discussed the issue of dues for new chapters who join the SEDS during the end of a semester of the end of a year
- Executive board motion allowing chapters to have a 'freebie' period where if they are NEW, and join after Space Vision, they can be a chapter until the next academic year for free.
- Motion passed with a 4-2-1 vote.
