[17:31] Joshua Nelson: Rick, Basant, and Keri all informed me they would not be present tonight
[17:31] Joshua Nelson: So despite the bad attendance, people are at least responsible

[17:32] Joshua Nelson: First up, I want to go through the plans for each ISDC item SEDS is running/participating in to ensure there's nothing left we need to organize
[17:32] Joshua Nelson: first up, Ryan, SEDS session on student fundign
[17:34] Ryan McLinko: aight
[17:34] Ryan McLinko: so, I've put together a panel that will be relatively similar to the sessiont that we had at sedsne, but in a more organized form
[17:35] Ryan McLinko: which currently has on it me, Matt, Justin, Kyle Stephens
[17:35] Matt Cannella: should be good
[17:35] Ryan McLinko: I've also been trying to get someone from ERF, since I'm told that tehy are really good at getting donations
[17:36] Ryan McLinko: but haven't had much luck on that front
[17:36] Matt Cannella: that would be excellent
[17:36] Ryan McLinko: we have an outline together, which basically goes through the different types of things that we get funding for
[17:36] Ryan McLinko: and I'll poll the panelists as we go through them
[17:37] Ryan McLinko: other than that, not too much has happened, but we'll prep a little more and then do some dry runs when we get there
[17:37] Ryan McLinko: the panel is thursday 1700
[17:37] Ryan McLinko: which was to avoid conflicts with other things/fit what was available
[17:38] Ryan McLinko: questions/comments/suggestions?

[17:38] Joshua Nelson: Unfortunetly it conflicts with the Space Ambassadors session

[17:39] Joshua Nelson: NSS continues to say it 'won't be a problem' to give us a room for the live Council of Chapters
[17:39] Joshua Nelson: but they have yet to nail down a day/time
[17:39] Ryan McLinko: I had told her we prefer 1700 on fri or sat
[17:39] Joshua Nelson: I'm emailing Gary Barnhard as we speak to ask him to put some pressure on them to let us know a day/time
[17:40] Joshua Nelson: so we can pass it on to the chapters
[17:40] Joshua Nelson: k
[17:40] Joshua Nelson: Grant, what do we currently have lined up meeting agenda wise?
[17:41] Grant Atkinson: i've gotten a request to discuss the possibility of setting up a special screename for future CoCs
[17:42] Joshua Nelson: In what way, like a special chat screen name?
[17:42] Grant Atkinson: ie, the each chapter rep would attend using their chapter affiliation as their screename
[17:42] Grant Atkinson: for example, A&M's rep would be Texas A&M SEDS as their screename
[17:42] Joshua Nelson: ah
[17:42] Ryan McLinko: that seems excessive
[17:42] Ryan McLinko: also, would make outside-of-coc comm more difficulty
[17:42] Grant Atkinson: i figured it would be worth bringing up for discussion at least
[17:42] Ryan McLinko: since from coc, you learn peoples' normal chat names
[17:42] Joshua Nelson: if they want to talk about it, great.
[17:43] Grant Atkinson: i haven't received any other requests for issues but i'll send out an email about that later this week
[17:43] Joshua Nelson: but I agree with Ryan, seems like it might be a bit excessive/unnecessary
[17:43] Joshua Nelson: Remember the Executive Board has requested
[17:43] Joshua Nelson: bringing up changes to Council of Chapters
[17:43] Joshua Nelson: and a general discussion about improving the body itself
[17:44] Grant Atkinson: right
[17:44] Grant Atkinson: anything else I should be aware of?
[17:44] Joshua Nelson: not at the moment. Any further discussion items anyone can think of?
[17:44] Joshua Nelson: for CoC?
[17:45] Grant Atkinson: what should we be doing to set up a conference call
[17:45] Grant Atkinson: for those who can't attend in person?:
[17:46] Joshua Nelson: Ryan, was conference call equipment in your request to MyLin?
[17:46] Ryan McLinko: we need to get a conference phone from someone
[17:46] Ryan McLinko: as I understand it, we won't be able to get it
[17:46] Ryan McLinko: from them
[17:46] Ryan McLinko: so someone should get it from their school
[17:46] Joshua Nelson: I will ask MyLinh if they can get it from UCF
[17:46] Grant Atkinson: good idea
[17:47] Joshua Nelson: Anyone else who is attending ISDC in person think they could request one at their school?
[17:47] Ryan McLinko: I may be able to if necessary, but would prefer other options are looked after first
[17:48] Ryan McLinko: so keep me posted

[17:49] Ryan McLinko: yeah, we'll bring our banner
[17:49] Ryan McLinko: and whatever giveaway things we have left from sedsne09
[17:50] Joshua Nelson: I am bringing the poster, brochures, Space Vision ads, my business cards, SEDS shot glasses
[17:50] Joshua Nelson: was thinking about a few Chapter Expansion Kits as well.
[17:50] Ryan McLinko: and btw, I'll be between the sff and seds tables
[17:50] Joshua Nelson: traitor
[17:50] Ryan McLinko: so my-linh is down as our official exhibitor
[17:50] Joshua Nelson: k
[17:51] Ryan McLinko: since I figured it would be weird for me to be one for both
[17:51] Ryan McLinko: outside of that, we basically want to get hardware
[17:51] Ryan McLinko: now that we're about a week out, I'll ping the local chatpers again
[17:51] Joshua Nelson: Have you asked UCF about bringing any of their rockets?
[17:51] Joshua Nelson: yeah

[17:51] Ryan McLinko: I had gotten some promisning responses before
[17:51] Ryan McLinko: but no commitments
[17:52] Joshua Nelson: remind UCF that it would be a great opportunity to advertise Daedalus
[17:52] Joshua Nelson: and their rocket accomplishments so far
[17:53] Joshua Nelson: And when we set up, lets try to liberate a few chairs/couches to set up in the general vicinity of our booth
[17:53] Joshua Nelson: given last time it turned into a SEDS member hang out area
[17:53] Joshua Nelson: if practical, I haven't looked at the map to see where they have us yet
[17:53] Joshua Nelson: SEDS House, Matt?
[17:54] Matt Cannella: SEDShouse is going well. we have payment from all those going, and have succesfully booked a 6 bedroom, 5.5 bath house with pool and hot tub for around $100 per person. As we were able to get a 10% discount in the rental (i have no idea how) we are using the extra money to rent definitely one, and maybe two cars. This is the staged we are in now, setting up the car rentals, since I have to leave on Saturday and can't put the rental under my name.
[17:55] Matt Cannella: that being said, its deifinitely a possibility to hold a SEDS networking event maybe after the panel on thursday night, or friday night
[17:55] Ryan McLinko: be sure to use your schools' car rental discounts
[17:55] Matt Cannella: i checked, it only works in NY state
[17:55] Matt Cannella: so unfortunately that is out
[17:56] Matt Cannella: but we are looking pretty good as long as we can get people to rent cars
[17:56] Matt Cannella: (we know darrell is not an option... haha)
[17:56] Joshua Nelson: k
[17:56] Matt Cannella: and thats about it.
[17:56] Joshua Nelson: Question: Are you still friendly to other people getting added onto the SEDS House, possibly sleeping on the floor etc..?
[17:57] Joshua Nelson: I have had several people ask
[17:57] Joshua Nelson: if they could buy floor space at SEDS House
[17:57] Joshua Nelson: (not me)
[17:57] Ryan McLinko: justin, maybe you or basant can go for mit's rental option
[17:57] Ryan McLinko: or get ben to
[17:57] Matt Cannella: oh, is there a good deal?

[17:57] Ryan McLinko: (I would, but since I won't be at the seds house...)
[17:58] Matt Cannella: right... there will be an email sent out about this to SEDShouse members in this regard

[18:00] Joshua Nelson: especially if you can do something like having them pay, then reimbursing the existing members a certain quantity

[18:04] Joshua Nelson: $150 from national, $150 from chapters
[18:04] Joshua Nelson: Currently that is the plan. I have asked UCF where the best place to buy alcohol is
[18:04] Joshua Nelson: worse case I will pick it up from the tariff free store in the airport
[18:04] Ryan McLinko: I know will is planning on going to get stuff for sff
[18:04] Joshua Nelson: need to check the rules on that
[18:04] Ryan McLinko: so as we figure out logistics, I could let you know and maybe we could just go at the same time
[18:05] Joshua Nelson: On the hospitality suite, I'd like ideas for cool things not usually done at hospitality suites that we could do
[18:05] Joshua Nelson: If you have any ideas, please email me
[18:06] Justin Graves: what is usually done?
[18:06] Joshua Nelson: Usually just a large pile of drinks and food
[18:06] Joshua Nelson: and people just mingle
[18:06] Joshua Nelson: with beer pong as well

[18:07] Joshua Nelson: Meeting time for the summer
[18:07] Joshua Nelson: several people have mentioned that this time is bad for them over the summer
[18:08] Joshua Nelson: Out of the people here, is this time good/bad?

[18:08] Grant Atkinson: a later time would be better for me
[18:08] Keri Bean: as long as it's not moved to Sunday nights, I'm fine
[18:08] Ryan McLinko: same here, esp since I'll be in CA
[18:08] Justin Graves: I would prefer an earlier time but Im fine either way
[18:08] Ryan McLinko: (about the later)
[18:09] Joshua Nelson: ok sounds like people would like to move it
[18:09] Joshua Nelson: in which case I will set up a meeting schedule poll online
[18:09] Joshua Nelson: and send you all the link
