Meeting Minutes

This was a special meeting to further discuss "The Initiative" partnership proposal discussion. The partnership passed as the following:

Partnership Agreement

This document serves to outline the details of a relationship between SEDS-USA and the largest grassroots space outreach/advocacy initiative in history titled “We want our future!” here after referred to as the Initiative. The Initiative is a nationwide outreach/advocacy project that will challenge students to dream about what they want their future to look like – specifically with respect to space. This project will serve to unify all pro-space groups by promoting space as a national priority and not selectively promoting any singular agenda. The Initiative is a “for students, by students” project to call attention to the necessity of space in our collective future. The terms of this agreement are as follows: SEDS-USA will provide support of the Initiative. Support includes, but is not limited to, providing logistical support via its network of chapters by allowing open communication to members, keeping an open line of communication between SEDS-USA and the Initiative, recognition to present the Initiative at the SEDS-USA national conference, and any further collaboration beneficial to both groups. SEDS-USA will be recognized as a partner of this pro-space unification; however this recognition is secondary to the primary focus on students and the importance of space! Ultimate control of the Initiative, its associated funds, resources, information, and media lies with the Initiative management team Neither organization nor any of its official representatives shall make any un-approved public statements with respect to, or on behalf of, the other organization. Any information gathered as a result of the Initiative operations will be controlled exclusively by the Initiative. This includes but is not limited to, contact information, collaborating organization information, and strategic documents/agreements. This information may be shared with SEDS-USA on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Initiative management team. Termination clause If SEDS-USA violates any of the aforementioned conditions of partnership it shall lose all formal public recognition of participation. If the Initiative does not fulfill its obligations in the eyes of a 2/3rds majority of the SEDS-USA executive board then this agreement shall be terminated and SEDS will be no longer be recognized as a partner organization upon notification of the Initiative management team. In conclusion, by signing this agreement SEDS-USA and the “We want our future!” initiative agree to work together and execute the largest grassroots space outreach/advocacy project in history. Based on the following mission statement: “To inspire students across the country to dream about their future and recognize the importance of science, technology, engineering, and math in making these dreams a reality.” As the elected representative of SEDS-USA I do here-by agree to the aforementioned conditions of partnership Signature (SEDS-USA Chair) Joshua Nelson Date As the “We want our future!” management team we here-by agree to the aforementioned conditions of partnership ________________________________________________________________________ Signature (President/co-founder) Bradley Cheetham Date ________________________________________________________________________ Signature(Vice-President/co-founder) Bruce Davis Date
