Progress Reports
- Rick Hanton, Chapter Expansion
- Sent a test packet of SEDS info to Nick Green at Jacobs Engineering.
- Will plan to ask the board for $200 to create and send 50 more packets to universities across the western US produced via the UBSEDS chapter (they have a large HP printer).
- Sent e-mails to check with contacts at St. Louis University, University of Minnesota, Boise State, and I have been contacted by students about forming a chapter at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and the University of Kentucky.
- Currently testing SEDS merchandise store (out of my pocket). Some of the retro designs look good, while some of the logo designs need work.
- Matt Cannella, Director of Publications
- This past week has been a busy one here in Publications. The NOVA is entering its production phase. Most of the articles have been published and interviews complete, and now I am piecing together the issue along with Dan Pastuf, President of UBSEDS (Buffalo) and Managing Editor of the NOVA. A draft form of the NOVA will be completed by September 21st, with a publishing deadline of the end of September.
- The creation of 5 "subject focused" SEDS posters is underway to aid in recruitment. These posters will feature general information about SEDS, focused on specific topics. These are aimed to be displayed in their perspective departments at a given university, to target students from all disciplines to be informed about SEDS.
- These will be completed shortly, and hopefully online by next week.
- Keri Bean, Outreach
- Due to a lot of traveling, Keri and I haven't been able to work on the contest a lot. We're probably going to push back the timeline.
- I also kick started a chapter at the University of Oklahoma this week.
