Design reviews
This is an informal way of getting everyone on the same page and letting the other subsystem groups know what they need to interface with you.
- Electronics team: Software, hardware, and communication: What do you need to satisfy the File:Project guidelines.doc
- Rocket: Platform and rocket. What do you need to satisfy the guidelines
- Goal of the design review: Get electronics teams to talk to rocket team to intermingle their independent designs.
Rocket test flights
Split into teams and build small rockets.
- play with fin length
- predict altitude with software package
- play with CG and Center of pressure
November
Design Review
Here you should have a good idea of what each team wants to fly, and now you need to start making it a reality. Meaning what is the weight limit? What size are my electronic components? Where can I place my sensors? How should they be mounted. This will take you through the rest of the semester to refine.
December
- HAM certification: Get your license so we can start using radios and putting together a ground station.
