First, let me say that the New Executive Committee is forming up nicely.
Jen Eckardt will be the Associate Director of YN 2006
Karen Lau will be the Art Director
Tim Bailey will be the Director of Space Community Relations
Jeremy Pyle will be the Director of Media Relations
Michael Laine will be working on the Finance Team- helping keep our books up to date.
Amrut Yalagi will be joining the Web Team to help build us a flash header for the current site
And we also have 2 other people in India, Ganapathy and Mr. Anbarasan also want to be involved that I will be looking for the best way to get them involved even thought they are far away.
If I have not talked to you about your new post yet, please email me of when a good time to talk would be!
I will send out another email letting people know what positions are still available tomorrow.
Agenda
Status of actions from last week Formation of EC- scheduling tag-up to work out each Committee member's plan. Brainstorm other actions Committee can take on in the coming week to forward vision.

Loretta: contacted USA, will call Aeroflot to schedule a meeting next week, emailed Air and Space- will do it again, and meeting with XM Dec 8th
Barbara: Solicited good ideas from the previous parties (wrote up an email and to the Parties2005 mailserve)- was sent out- but hasn't gone out yet...
Loretta: uploaded NEW party pack to MCC.yurisnight.net - will also upload it to the resources page.
Loretta: contacted Big Head Todd's manager about performing at YN- They are excited - have to call their booking agent and may also be able to get us cds of the single of Blue Sky
Loretta: sent out list of positions on exec council and got Lewicki to set up a mailing list executive@yurisnight.net (no one is subcribed to it yet though- does anyone want to help set up the list serve?)
Jenny: inputed 20 new parties for 2006 into the MCC, is Working with Plantronics to get collaterall material like posters- being sent from Utah- space banner stuff- (going to Vegas in January- can get more space posters then!) Product could be donated for prizes- like the pulsar 590 headset. asked interactive marketing lady about linking to the website- may not be a go but working it, VP of her group needs to OK having Plantronics website and the win a trip to space promotion linked to from YN.net. persuing getting online talk capabilitiy headssets to distribute to parties. not so certain of the dates by when they could be gotten- may be able to get 5 of them. (?)
Karen: working on a postcard sized generic YN promo rave card that we can print up (and longer range a new brochure!) Goal is to have at printer by mid- January.
Jen: said that she knows a place that can do 5000 4x6 cards in Oakland for $200. Will look into it Karen: Digital printers allows you to customize certain things- like changing the content based on a Database- karen will look into that (may be more expensive) Database printing- direct mail printing.
Loretta -emailed Stephen Steiner about likelihood of being able to have YN logo aerogels this year.
Vanna- Talk to Rocket Dog shoes, Verizon and XBox about sponsoring or donating products Vanna was not on the call, emailed to say that she has initiated contacts on tie-ins
Loretta: Invite Xeni to host YN webcast- not done yet
Alicia: Talk to Kitty Felde- not on call
Other Actions being taken on
Tim: wrote up his idea to formalize Space Pioneer Day in legal form in Florida and then US
Kirk: will upload the minor website fixes tomorrow- major changes awaiting finding a expert webmaster.
Jeremy: can help with Copy editing
Karen: need to up our web ranking- more links to us, will put a request out to YuriLA to add links to their websites to YN, (attached is an Animated wed gif for just that purpose!)
Kirk: will get us linked to on SEDS, Jeremy might get World Space Week email list, Loretta to ask XM, USA, (make is a requirement of sponsors?)
Jen: taking on updating the sponsor pack in Adobe Illustrator will send out a PDF for review within one week. Wants to give sponsors links on the site. Wants to plan approach to 3 bay area companies- Google is one of them.
Kirk- tie in Google Earth, will look into how feasible- maping our party sites to Google earth is...
Jen: will work on having a web guy at work design a cool win a trip to space link for us to put on our site.
Karen: designing holiday E-Card for Yuri's Night and the Whole Space Generation family (but branded as YN)
Jen- Do you think Zero G would offer a seat to YN as a prize?
Tim- I think we could get a discount of $500- or maybe a whole seat- maybe Florida Space Research Institute can help with the funded.
Tim- as space liaison can you talk to other space orgs about adding links to YN?
