Education Directory Maps

There are two files associated with the North America map:

1. File:Education Directory North America.kmz
2. File:Education Directory North America NetworkLink.kmz

The first map is the map that we will edit and update on the wiki. The second map is mostly for Google Earth users; it is a "network" file that points to the first file. That is, if you saved the first file in your Google Earth client, it would be static -- it would remain the same as the day you downloaded it. However, if you save the second file in your Google Earth client, it points to the first file, which is on the server and can be updated.

In order to create the maps, all you need to find is the latitude and longitude of each of the institutions. (For those wishing to actually modify the file, post a message in the discussion tab -- you need Google Earth to do this.) To do this, I find the building in Google Maps, which sometimes requires referencing maps provided online by the universities.
