The Yuri's Night Executive Committee telecom Meeting on 4th Jan at 9pm ET/6 pm PT.

The meeting started on shedule and went on well. The following matters are discussed,

Loretta- We now have 30 parties in 14 countries- working to get Africa on the map! Also need bloggers (astronauts, astrophysicists, people with cool space jobs) to volunteer to blog for the YN site. Executive@yurisnight.net is working again- please use it in good health!

Tim- Rick Tumlinson- authors of his new book, are available for parties maybe blogging

Tim- working on final draft of Space Pioneer Day text for next week. Can talk to Sam Durrance to blog for us.
- Tim will draft an email to encourage people to host events and set up list of orgs to contact when new YN site is up and running. In meantime (HIGH PRIORITY)will also draft an email to NSS and SEDS (Jeremy can help), and Mars Society to invite them to register through a grant from NSS HQ by logging in to mcc.yurisnight.net as nss/yn2006 (Tim will set this user id up). That email should go out ASAP to NSS chapters. Explain that while they are in the MCC they should download the digital starter kit to get started and that the main site will launch on 1/15/06.

Kennda offers to helps us hit all the National Society of Black Engineers chapters, digital advertisement could go out to the astrobiology institute -can use Karen's postcard design.

Tim- be sure to keep him posted on which orgs you interface with so he doesn't duplicate effort. Track everyone's activity on the wiki site (and update your own activity!) http://wiki.seds.org/index.php/Yuris_Night_2006

Jen- Sponsor pack- will be complete no later then Wednesday- waiting on everyone's feedback- has 3 nice headsets- and VoIP headsets as prizes. Wants a page on the new site that tells people how they can sponsor without having to download anything. In Vegas now- should be able to bring home some of their big space posters. Thinks there is a conference- AIAA or AAS- on 4/12 in DC will send us an email on it. Wants postcards printed to promote YN with- Karen is working it - what is tag line? Rock the planet

Barbara- Party pack on the wiki site is up- please add anything you know to the wiki! Next week will be gone but will send an email to the African Scientist Network. Will be at the European regional meeting next week- will also promote there...

Loretta- Jason Cranford Teague is designing a new YN web interface with more automated functionalities- blogs, rss, party registration ect. I sent out his designs on 1/4/06 please look at them and give comments back. It is expected to go live Jan 15th. Meanwhile a lot of the site is down....(good news is the MCC is working and even has its style sheets back). Will work with Jason this week to make sure its up again (or the new site replaces it).

Tim- Herbalife may pass out "LiftOff" energy drink supplement and possibly offer some of the proceeds to YN

Karen- possible tie ins: 50th anniversary of Disney. Partner with MoveOn. Space Park is opening up in Israel. Will work on things Monday night- be online to help give her real time feedback.

Tim- Have a YN presence at all space events/conference- have a banner made up with our logo and all our sponsors logos- maybe have important people sign it. then have a collection of them or auction them off.
