- What do you think is the role of SEDS-Earth? inspire interest in space
worldwide and initiate projects to help to this end
- Do you think we have fulfilled this role? projects such as sedsat are a great
way to do this and we've been spreading chapters quite well so far and I look forward to seeing many more in the near future
- How, do you believe, can we better fulfill this role? more projects as
seds-earth becomes more developed and more spreading chapters (more of what we're already doing)
- What other information would you like to receieve from SEDS-Earth on this list? maybe a general update every once in a while as to what is going on
(bimonthly or so) to keep up interest among chapters

Jim Volp, I am no longer a student and not connected to a Chapter.
- What do you think is the role of SEDS-Earth?
SEDS Earth should be the FACILITATOR of all SEDS Chapters.
I am sure that many Chapters face the same challenges and that a single solution could assist all Chapters. Webserver is one thing, finance is another. But also guidelines, full time support office for communications and more importantly INFORMATION SHARING are other examples that can be provided from a central spot.
Seds Earth is quite close in nature to the central office of Space Generation which we after a long time were able to set up.
- Do you think we have fulfilled this role?
No I dont think so, but I am not in the loop between SEDS Earth and SEDS Chapters. If all goes very well, than there should be no individual SEDS people like me as we should all be part of some local/national Chapter. But is this the case currently?
- How, do you believe, can we better fulfill this role?
By doing some preparatory work to do some marketing and bring in sponsors to support a central backbone office.
- What other information would you like to receieve from
SEDS-Earth on this list? You have to understand that I am used to Space Generation TALK (I helped set it up and maintained it for years). From this I say that daily news about SEDS and SEDS activities is the best sign that the organisation is mature. When I say to someone that SGAC has 2500 members on a mailing list that are able to freely communicate with each other, the response was: "What? How can you cope with the traffic? Our rugby group has 20 people on it and we get tons and tons of emails each day" See what I mean?

Florian Schirg, i am founder of SEDS Austria together with Paul Schmitzberger.
- What do you think is the role of SEDS-Earth?
it is responsible for generating a common vision, creation and organization of international realization of a corporate design and branding, implementing an according webpage design,
- Do you think we have fulfilled this role?
not to the extent needed. from marketing perspective especially the logo and design have to be worked out to create an international brand that is being recognized by all professionals in the space industries and students alike.
- How, do you believe, can we better fulfill this role?
additional coordination is needed. such topics need to be worked out on a democratic basis, especially the vision is a delicate thing, as is the thereof derived strategy formulation.
- What other information would you like to receieve from SEDS-Earth on
this list? seds-earth should focus on developing people and offer leadership positions to its members so to enable them to assume responsibility and grow personally and to establish a good standing within their networks in the industry.
