SEDS-India Meeting Minutes 20080210

The first meeting of February was held yesterday at 17.30pm.

The main points that were discussed there are...

Krishna designed the pamphlet of SEDS India and was sent to all the sedsic participants.

Every one were advised to go through the By Laws.

Ashok was given the work of setting the meetings and maintaining the Agenda as well as the minutes of the meetings.

The procedure for membership(annual) for individuals as well as Chapters.

For a chapter to start off it should have 15 members and pay as Rs 400/- as chapter affiliation charges and for individual its Rs 100/-.

Members id cards, and those for the executive committee are being designed by Ashish.

Some of the things that were discussed related to works done by Anmol are as follows:

1) contacted all participants of SEDSIC 07 by email..... asking for details about those interested in joining SEDS

2) created mail for membership details (advise of chapter and benefits of individual membership)

3) Contacted IIT Kanpur, Saurabh Chatterjee, described and discussed with him abt the prospects of SEDS Chapter at IIT K.

4) Contacted and sent the Chapter Starter Kit basics to Pannimalar Engg. College (Karthik K.).

5) Contacted Head of Astronomy Club, Manipal Inst. of Tech

6) gathered info on freelance astronomy clubs in India, prospective of being given SEDS affiliation.
