History of Astronomy in Nepal
History
We started as Kosmandu Astronomical Society in 2003 and began astronomical observations from different places in Kathmandu using limited equipments such as binoculars. Later we received a telescope from Permission To Dream project for free and soon started organizing observation sessions for school students and the public. Sometimes we also had small talk programs, seminars and presentations on Astronomy. Just this year we got registered as the Nepal chapter of SEDS.
