This satellite, developed by the University of Alabama in Huntsville SEDS chapter, was successfully built and launched. It has multiple uses, such as multi-spectral remote sensing and amateur radio store-and-forward capabilities.
GAMCIT

Caltech's SEDS chapter flew the Gamma-ray Astrophysics Mission (GAMCIT) on the Space Shuttle in May of 1996 as part of NASA's get-away-special program. It worked superbly and even recorded a gamma-ray burst.
