SEDSAT-1

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space Satellite number one (SEDSAT-1) was developed at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. SEDSAT-1 was launched on October 24, 1998 as a secondary payload with NASA's Deep Space 1 probe aboard a Delta II rocket.

SEDSAT-1 was last heard from by Tim Cunningham on August 6, 2001.

AMSAT's status list states the spacecraft as "Non-operational".

Details about SEDSAT-1 were included in the NASA Historical Data Book (1989-1998) for the NASA History Office.
