From meeting with Michael Simpson, 6 Feb:

  • Working on hardware is possible, but not likely
  • Best application of project is as a personal assignment in the MSS curriculum, especially around January 2008
    • Also possible to include as a workshop, but not as likely
  • ISU students could participate in PDR in India via Skype

- Currently, I am devising an EYASsat microsatellite build and testing assignment. For the current year, this assignment would take place in the much later portion of the year (Module 3) but am hoping to move this to Module 2 (Oct - Dec) next year and depending on the time of the PDR, it could potentially be a follow on exercise for all MSS (Masters of Space Science) students.--Bee 06:30, 14 February 2007 (MST)

  • Need to clear this with faculty to see their opinions

- I can discuss this with different faculty and potentially understand at what stage will the students at ISU be able to get involved the most (as work load is variable) and what point woudl it be most beneficial as a tele-hands-on activity.--Bee 06:30, 14 February 2007 (MST)

  • Work with Bee on this project
  • The non-technical aspects would certainly include the exportation laws that will apply to moving the components to a single place for integration

- We can elaborate on this. In fact, it coudl be an exercise involving all (MSM + MSS) students, but we need to have provided enought material on export control and ITAR, which is generally delivered in Module 3 (Jan - March)--Bee 06:30, 14 February 2007 (MST)
