Hi everyone. Today's discussion dealt mostly with ideas for the different subsystems for SEDSAT-2.

Subsystem leaders were assigned:

  • Geoff Hilton: command and data handling
  • Tom Nordheim: payload
  • Anbarasan V: attitude control
  • Lavina Parwani: ground and communications
  • Michael Jensen: power
  • Pradeep Mohandas: structures


Open tasks:

  • Collect subsystems information from current/previous CubeSats and post at SEDSAT-2 Research.

This research will be used for discussion at the next meeting and to create basic requirements for subsystems. For example, with research on existing payloads, attitude control, and communications, we may be able to create a preliminary requirement that the power subsystem needs between 500 W and 2000 W.
