SEDSAT-2 Pre-Launch Information
In order to launch SEDSAT, we'll probably ride-share with a commercial launch; the ride-share will be organized by CalPoly. CalPoly and the commercial launch company will have an agreed schedule for how, when and where the satellite undergoes the various stages of pre-launch. These stages are things such as delivery of the cubesat to CalPoly, integration of the PPOD with the other launch payloads, time before launch for cubesat developers to run final diagnostics and similar.
Space Access Technologies presented an overview of how their launch opportunities work, and they include a very useful timeline for when things must be done by. Have a look at pages 26 and 27 of the presentation, it should give us a good idea of what to expect regarding timing.
