  1. The purpose of SEDS-Earth is to encourage communication between the national organizations of SEDS.
  2. National organizations of SEDS are not bound by the rules of SEDS-Earth; they are independent entities.
  3. The SEDS-Earth council shall consist of three members.
    1. Each member must be a member in good standing of their respective national organization.
    2. Each member must be from a different national organization.
  4. The term of a council member shall be six months.
    1. The terms shall be divided as follows: (1) 1 April to 30 September; (2) 1 October to 31 March.
    2. The second term shall begin at the annual SEDS International Conference; both terms will be flexible to accommodate this.
    3. Only full time high school or university students are eligible to be council members.
    4. Council members may serve unlimited terms (as long as they are a student) but may only serve three consecutive terms at a time.
  5. All SEDS members in good standing shall be eligible to participate on and vote for the council.
    1. For term one:
      1. Nominations for positions will be open from 4 to 17 March.
      2. Members shall nominate themselves by sending an email to the SEDS-Earth email list.
      3. Elections for positions will be open from 18 to 31 March.
    2. For term two, nominations and elections will be held at the SEDS International Conference.
