SEDS.org is running on an Apple XServe. It is a dual 2 Ghz version, with 2 x 250GB SATA drives, 1 400GB SATA backup drive, and 5GB of RAM. It is running Mac OS X Tiger, version 10.4.8.

It is located at and sponsored by the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. It is connected to the internet through Gigabit LAN connection.

It has backup power via a donated APC SU1400RM2U UPS.
