Conference Planning Home
It is absolutely critical to advertise and publicize the conference.

To SEDS Chapters
- Mailing lists and Council of Chapters are the simplest ways to advertise to involved SEDS chapters
- Make use of the resources we have
- Talk to the chapters yourselves to see how they're doing, if they need any help with arrangements, etc.
To other schools
- Contact engineering and science departments at nearby schools. Have an announcement and flyers to post.
- Advising offices for the departments are probably the best places to look.
- Use any contacts you have with other students at those schools to advertise as well.
- Also look at large engineering schools.
- Work with chapter expansion to see if they have any contacts or schools to advertise to.
Affiliated organizations
- Make use of our connections with groups like SFF, NSS, and AAS. The chairman of the board is the best person to work with on this.
- Look to send out announcements on mailing lists of other organizations with similar goals.
General Public
- Online space conference lists are cheap and easy to get on
- If there is some money available, look to place ads in industry publications
- Use our booths at NSS and SFF conferences (per our MOU) to advertise to those attendees
- Set up a Facebook group or event ASAP
