Use of the site spacevision.seds.org, while arranging a professional, easy to design site is important for the image of the conference. Contact the SEDS webmaster for access to the SpaceVision site. Also, make sure you can find a good webmaster.
Website sections (may be posted at different times)
- Speakers
- List of speakers, short biographies, and topics for discussion
- Registration
- Open this mid-summer
- Make sure you have PayPal or other accounts available for payment
- Currently code exists to gather and store registration information in a MySQL database
- Location
- Give details on conference location
- Include travel information
- Include specific directions to rooms where the conference will be held
- Hotel Information
- Include official hotel and rate
- Suggest student-budget hotels as well
- Sponsors
- Post information/advertising for sponsors in agreement with fundraising policy
- Banquet
- Information on food, location, schedule, etc.
- Schedule
- Using Google Calendar was a very convenient way to handle this, allowing changes to be updated in real time.
- Career Fair
- List career fair registrants
- Link to registration for the career fair
- Student Research
- Give information and POC on poster session
