Education
I am a physics/astronomy freshman at the University of Arizona. Due to my lack of math knowledge last semester, I have not taken any physics or astronomy courses this year. I am currently in Calculus 1 course and I plan to take Calculus 2 over the summer.
Activities
I think of my self as a jack-of-all-trades type of person. I like to learn and engage in many things such as guitar playing, capoeira, reading, playing with computer hardware, and participating in anything related to space. If there is something I want to learn how to do, chances are that I will learn how to do it.
Interest in Space
I believe that exploration of space and the universe, and colonizing those places, is key to the future survival of humankind. I beleive that the exploration of space could lead to world unity. I do not mean that it will create world "peace", rather I think eventually the world will realize that we can accomplish unthinkable things as a species if we were to focus efforts on cosmic travel and colonization, rather than focus on our differences.
Maybe that kind of unity will not happen anytime soon, but I know that I cannot just sit around waiting for that to happen. That is why I will do everything in my power to further humankind's knowledge of the cosmos.
