  1. Create "quote of the day" on the front page or other random quote, selecting from a list of space related quotes on the wiki. Here's some to start:

They're using Google Documents for a lot of YN. I'm not a big fan of it, too much overhead and it doesn't work with Safari, so I have to open a different browser to use it. Plus it's not as transparent, and harder to find stuff from years past. Hal apparently just started YA-wiki at http://marsdrive.com/yuri/ , so we'll see what we end up using. —Ben Brockert (talk) 17:20, 7 January 2007 (MST)

I have big negative money right now, so India seems unlikely. It would certainly be interesting, but I don't expect to be able to find the money. I haven't heard anything from MIT about planning Spacevision, so I doubt there's been any talk of working with the Canadians. —Ben Brockert (talk) 19:52, 7 January 2007 (MST)
I took the Space Information Archive off the front page. It hasn't been updated in ages, whereas other stuff has. While it seems like a nice idea, Wikipedia does a nice job of documenting the minutiae of the space age. —Ben Brockert (talk) 02:47, 9 January 2007 (MST)

I have no plan to delete anything, of course. If someone decides to work on the other pages and make them presentable at some point, I'm all for putting them back in the limelight. But it seems best to link to the things that are being updated and aren't stubs. Your re-additions look good.

You have a problem with Yuri's Night being on here? Sites like this require some undefined critical mass before they take off, and I'm trying to get some more use. Yuri's Night is as much within the SEDS mandate at the info archive, and a significant portion of the people involved are also involved with SEDS. —Ben Brockert (talk) 11:58, 9 January 2007 (MST)

Nice job on the front page. —Ben Brockert (talk) 15:08, 2 February 2007 (MST)

Alumni List

Yeah, I can get the word out to Allen and other Iowa State Alumni. Thanks for mentioning it! —Rick Hanton (talk)
