I'm looking at extending each date by 15 days except for the announcement date. The dates on the flier are currently that snail mail must be sent by 11/15, digital copies by 12/1 and announcement by 12/31. This will change to snail mail must be sent by 12/1, digital copies due 12/15, and announcement 12/31. &lt;br /&gt;

Announcement is getting sent to NEA and NSTA chapters. Also will be sending to specialty schools and schools near current SEDS chapters. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Please contact any schools you know well and urge them to enter this competition. I believe that we will be getting few entries for our first time with this so any entry could easily win. &lt;br /&gt;

*Creating inter-chapter EO discussion and coordination&lt;br /&gt;
*Being sure to give members a clear up-to-date idea of what SEDS-USA is doing in EO&lt;br /&gt;
*Helping chapters learn how to run EO projects through various means&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

1) Clarify in the bylaws of the specific roles of “understudy” positions on the Board.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Motion: SEDS USA Exec board researches the idea of having unofficial positions on the exec board.  (Passes).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2) Creation of a position “External Affairs”, more specifically focused towards policy.  (question, is this already in the Chair’s description?).  Motion to have the exec board research the position to have chapter affairs and get back to the CoC with these details.  Motion passes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3) Remove the position of high school affairs?  Keri: the position is a conflict of interest with chapter affairs, expansion and outreach.  Role of the position is best to be shared with others.  Should this position be left to the individual chapters?  Motion: To only allow that the director of high school affairs to be a high school student.  Motion passes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4) Changing the time of the CoC meeting.  Caltech is having trouble on a regular basis of making the CoC as dinner for the entire campus.  Caltech does not believe that this is healthy for the long-term success of the chapter and national relations.  Motion to keep the schedule at the current time passes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5) MIT, Eric Peters.  Discussion on materials and &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6) Darrell, Alumni listserve.  Encourage each chapter to sign up for this list.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7) Discussion of the usability of AIM and how it allows / prohibits discussion.  Motion to try a new media at the next CoC meeting.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
8) Discussion of having “free time” for the first 10 minutes of each meeting for general discussion.  Motion to perform this at the future CoC meetings passes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
9) Question from UB regarding lack of chapters updating the website on what the chapter is doing.  Motion to require chapters to provide a quarterly updates on the website.&lt;br /&gt;
